TAMPA -- South Florida set school records for points and largest margin of victory in Friday's 124-54 rout of Morris Brown at the Sun Dome in the first round of the Roundball Classic.
The Bulls (6-0) are off to the third-best start in school history -- only the 1976-77 (8-0) and 1999-2000 (7-0) teams started with more consecutive victories.
USF faces Indiana-Purdue-Indianapolis in today's championship game at 3 p.m. IUPUI defeated Ohio 84-75 in the other first-round game.
Ohio meets Morris Brown (1-4) at 1 in the consolation game.
USF's record for points was 110 against Central Florida in 1992. The margin of victory mark was 63, 94-31 over Rollins in 1980.
The Bulls also set records for steals with 33 and assists with 35. Aiya Shepard set the single-game steal mark with 10.
"We only play nine kids," USF coach Jose Fernandez said. "Everyone played the same minutes, everyone played about 20. It's not like we have a roster of 15 people where we can put in our third five. We don't have a third five. Right now we only have a second four."
Alana Tanksley came off the bench to score 33 and Ashley Teets scored 19, both career highs.
Four other Bulls scored in double figures: Jen Kline with 17, Shepard and Tristen Webb with 16 and Allison AuBuchon with 11.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Jordan Adams overcame early foul trouble to score 21 and lead New Mexico to a 74-65 victory over No. 9 Texas Tech.
Mandi Moore scored 18 for the Lobos. Lindsey Arndt added 12 points and six rebounds and Molly McKinnon scored 11.
Amber Tarr led Texas Tech with 19 points. Natalie Ritchie added 13 and Tanisha Ellison 11.
NO. 1 UCONN 103, BALL ST. 69: Asjha Jones scored 19 and Diana Taurasi had a career-high 12 assists for host Connecticut, which trailed for nearly half of the first half. The Huskies trailed for 29 seconds in their first six games.
NO. 4 VANDERBILT 79, UW-MILWAUKEE 64: Chantelle Anderson made her first 12 shots on the way to scoring 35 for visiting Vanderbilt. Anderson was 10-for-10 in the first half as the Commodores built a 44-29 lead after trailing early.
NO. 12 BAYLOR 74, ORAL ROBERTS 46: Danielle Crockrum had 25 points and 16 rebounds as the Bears ended the Golden Eagles' 15-game home winning streak. Sheila Lambert added 15 points for Baylor, which never trailed.
NO. 20 WISCONSIN 92, PITTSBURGH 75: Tamara Moore had 21 points and eight assists for Wisconsin in the first round of the Arizona Classic at Tucson. Jessie Stomski and Kyle Black added 19 points apiece for the Badgers.
NO. 22 GW 59, MAINE 47: Cathy Joens scored 23 for George Washington in the first round of the Gene Hackerman Rice Invitational. George Washington faces host Rice, a 61-47 winner over UNC-Greensboro, in today's tournament final.
NO. 25 SOUTH CAROLINA 75, DUQUESNE 61: Teresa Geter had 20 points and 12 rebounds for host South Carolina. Jocelyn Penn scored 14, Kelly Morrone 13 and Tatyana Troina 10 for the Gamecocks.
