Central Avenue merchant accused of selling fakes
ST. PETERSBURG -- Police charged the owner of a clothing shop with selling counterfeit goods at his store, LA Fashions, at 3235 Central Ave. Jin Ha Pak, 38, of 10349 Lightner Bridge Drive in Tampa, was arrested Friday, accused of selling fake trademarked clothing, police reported. St. Petersburg police served Pak with a search warrant at his shop and then reported that they recovered about $50,000 worth of counterfeit merchandise. Pak was booked and released from Pinellas County Jail after posting $5,000 in bail.
ST. PETERSBURG -- Police have identified the man who was seriously injured in a Friday evening shooting as 26-year-old Vasana Kolamneo. Kolamneo, who lives in the 1600 block of 31st Avenue N, was shot in the head about 7 p.m. Friday. Someone notified police that he was lying in the road in the 1100 block of 19th Street N, an industrial area, police reported. Kolamneo was listed in critical but stable condition Saturday at Bayfront Medical Center. Police are investigating the shooting.
