A deputy driving north on U.S. 19 noticed several people in the store's parking lot, then heard several shots fired, a report stated.

The deputy said he pulled into the parking lot and saw a green Honda Accord leaving.

Witnesses identified the shooter as Robert Thomas Illa of New York.

Illa faces charges of aggravated assault with a weapon.

He was released Sunday after posting $10,000 bond.

One-car crash kills 86-year-old Hudson man

HUDSON -- A one-car crash Saturday evening killed an 86-year-old Hudson man, Florida Highway Patrol reports stated.

FHP troopers said Thomas O'Conner of 13216 Shadberry Lane in Hudson was driving north on Hicks Road when the accident happened about 8:30 p.m.

They said O'Conner went straight through a curve in the road and onto the north shoulder. He plowed through a fence, through a field and into a dry retention pond, eventually slamming into a cement culvert, reports stated.

Reports stated it was unknown whether O'Conner was wearing his seat belt or if alcohol was involved in the accident.

According to FHP reports, O'Conner's death was the 98th traffic-related fatality in Pasco County this year.
