PlayStation 2 seems to be on everyone's wish list this season, but there are plenty of fun games for all the top systems. Here's a taste:

PlayStation 2

Madden 2001: This is the must-have game for PlayStation 2. It plays as well as previous Madden installments but looks oh-so-much better.

Tekken Tag Tournament: Fighting game fans shouldn't despair. Tekken is to 3-D brawling what Madden is to football.

SSX: How about some wild snowboarding action to fill the gaps between Madden sessions?

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2: It was excellent on PlayStation. It's even better on Dreamcast.

Shenmue: An epic masterpiece on many levels. Interact with characters and learn to fight as the plot unravels.

Sonic Shuffle: Here's a multiplayer board game along the lines of Mario Party but starring the Sonic cast of characters.

Samba De Amigo: Grab a pair of maracas and go loco.

Final Fantasy IX: This Final Fantasy will make the previous two PlayStation versions seem like practice.

Crash Bash: Chaos rules in this multiplayer showdown of Crash Bandicoot characters. It's fun for more than one.

Driver 2: It has new cities for even more crime sprees, plus the wheelman can step out of his car this time.

Nintendo 64

Zelda: Majora's Mask: This Zelda will tide players over for some time.

Banjo-Tooie: The sequel to one of the best 3-D action titles splits up the bird-bear duo for twice as much fun.

Hey You! Pikachu: Give Pikachu an order and see him move. It includes a mike that ups the price of admission.

Game Boy Color

Pokemon Gold/Silver: It's Pokemon in color. With 750,000 copies sold in advance, it may be a hard present to land.

Donkey Kong Country: This small version of the Super Nintendo classic is a must for those who missed it the first time.

Dragon Warrior 1 & 2: Here's a fun little remake of the old Nintendo role-playing game.
