County runners stack up well at Times Turkey Trot

County runners made their presence felt at the 23rd Annual Times Turkey Trot in Clearwater.

A Pasco resident finished in the top three in three of the four races Nov. 22.

Lutz's Brant Speed finished third in the 5K race in 16 minutes, 14 seconds.

New Port Richey's Melissa Tuccio finished third among the 5K women in 18:25.

San Antonio's Sean Ruday finished third overall in the 10K race in 34:24.

Pasco had the strongest showing in the 5K event. Five men finished in the top 45.

Wesley Chapel's Chris Loth finished 23rd while New Port Richey's John Tuccio placed 26th. New Port Richey's Brian Van Es and Land O'Lakes' Aaron Coy finished 34th and 42nd, respectively.

New Port Richey's Danielle Coyle had a strong showing in the 5K. She finished 25th overall.

Lutz's Tracey Engel was the top Pasco woman in the 10K race. Engel finished 32nd in 45:11.

TRIPLE PLAY: County runners were spread among three races Nov. 17. In all, 13 Pasco residents landed in the top 50.

Two Pasco women finished in the top 10 at the Avon Running and Walking 5K in Tampa.

Lutz's Kristine Boucher finished seventh overall in 23:46. Lutz's Trudy Bedessen placed 10th.

Lutz's Tracy Engel and Kattie Horn finished in the top 20 in the 10K event. Engel finished 13th in 44:00 while Horn placed 19th.

Three other Pasco women finished in the top 50 in the 5K: Lutz's Molly Reissman (28th), Lutz's Dorothy Schulman (38th) and Land O'Lakes' Emily Pettinga (50th).

Lutz's Judy Laing finished 30th overall in the 10K race.

Land O'Lakes' Carlos Valle led the Pasco men at the Paradise Lakes Resort 5K. Valle finished 17th overall in 21:13.

Lutz's Kerry Cromie was the top Pasco woman in 63rd in 26:36.

Wesley Chapel's David Edwards finished 32nd overall.

Lutz's Delauna Boone led Pasco competitors at the Run with the Sheriff 5K Challenge in Brooksville. Boone finished 37th overall in 25:45.

Dade City's Taylor Tedesco was the top Pasco man in 42nd in 26:27.

New Port Richey's Melba Lee finished 43rd overall in 26:37.

HOPS TO IT: Former River Ridge standout Jacqueline Waller broke the top 10 at Sunday's Hops Marathon in Tampa. Waller finished seventh overall among women in 3:18:31.

Land O'Lakes' John Abernathy edged Wesley Chapel's Christopher Loth in the men's standings. Abernathy finished 50th in 3:15:09 while Loth finished 35 seconds later in 53rd.

New Port Richey's Kim Noel finished 84th among women.

PAPER CHASE: Dade City's Scott Sinclair broke the top 50 of the Paper Chase 10K Rock Crusher in Crystal River on Nov. 24. Sinclair finished 50th in 51:36.

New Port Richey's Beth Vogel was the top Pasco woman. She finished 78th overall in 58:35.
