Garden club schedules Christmas luncheon

The New Port Richey Garden Club has scheduled its annual Christmas Luncheon at noon Wednesday at the Spartan Manor, Massachusetts Avenue, New Port Richey.

Cloy Bell Lee and Dixie Vassilou, hostesses, announced that a fashion show will be presented by Cotton Patch Casuals of Tarpon Springs with Paulette as show commentator. Members who will model are Betty Black, Ann Buchanan, Shirley Koerner, Linda LaMaire, Shirley Preston, Dixie Vassilou, Doris Weaver and Cindy Worrell.

David Spriggs is in charge of table decorations.

Instead of a gift exchange among members, plans are being made to donate bedding, toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, soap, barrettes and/or gift certificates from Publix and Kash n' Karry for children 5 to 12 who attend Mittye P. Locke Elementary School in Elfers.

Orchid Society sets workshop Wednesday

The Orchid Society of West Pasco has scheduled a workshop Wednesday at Elfers Senior center, 4136 Barker Drive, Elfers.

Doors will open at 6:45 p.m.

Bill Thoms, a well-known orchid grower and American Orchid Society Judge, will discuss the different needs of various orchid types.

Senior center offering lunch, movie

The Cares Hudson Senior Center, 14205 Old Dixie Highway, Hudson will serve lunch at noon Wednesday followed by the showing of the movie I Dreamed of Africa with Kim Basinger and Vincent Perez. Cost is $3.

Reservations are required, call 863-6868.The center will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Card games, Dominoes, yoga and jewelry-making have been put on hold until after the new year. Those interested should notify the center to be put on a list.

Maryland Club hosting luncheon

The Suncoast Maryland Club will meet for lunch Wednesday at Magnolia Valley Country Club, 7226 Massachusetts Ave., New Port Richey.

Social time is at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon. Reservations are required. For information, call Doris Jenkins, president, at 862-5648.

Baptists sponsoring potluck dinner

The West Pasco Baptist Church is sponsoring a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 5238 Mile Stretch Road, Holiday.

Birthdays and anniversaries will be announced.

Social club sets Christmas luncheon

The New Jersey Social Club is hosting a Christmas luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage Springs clubhouse, Heritage Springs, New Port Richey.For information, call 376-8554.

Suncoast Singles set social Wednesday

The Suncoast Singles, a club for mature singles who meet for friendship and fun, is hosting a social at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cricketeers, Old State Road 54, New Port Richey.

VFW Post 7987 to serve lasagna dinner

Civic association hosting dinner and dance

The Hillandale Glengarry Civic Association is sponsoring a dinner-dance Wednesday at the clubhouse, 6333 Langston Ave., New Port Richey.

A roast beef or half-baked chicken dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. followed by dancing from 7 to 9 p.m. to big band music. Tickets are $7 if purchased by 11 a.m. Wednesday or $8 at the door. For reservations and information, call 842-1485.

Church men's club to serve breakfast

The Men's Club of St.Stephen's Episcopal Church, 5326 Charles St., New Port Richey will prepare and serve breakfast Wednesday following the 8 a.m. Holy Eucharist at the church, 5326 Charles St., New Port Richey.

Knights of Columbus hosting dinner, dance

The Knights of Columbus, Father Farrell Council 6476 is hosting a dinner-dance Wednesday at the council hall, 2040 Grand Boulevard, Holiday. Dinner with a choice of entrees will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. followed by dancing from 7 to 10 p.m. with music by Sugar and Spice. Tickets are $8.
