Focus on volunteers

St. Petersburg Free Clinic, 863 Third Ave. N, will hold a volunteer orientation at 10 a.m. today. For information, call Kelli Caputo, 821-1200, ext. 118.

The Pinellas Animal Foundation will hold a volunteer orientation at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 10825 Seminole Blvd., Building A, Unit 3, Seminole. Volunteers are needed for three programs: Edna's Pet Professor, to teach students responsible pet ownership; the Farm Team, which uses animals as catalysts for communication with at-risk children; and Pet Savers Pet Fostering and Education, in which qualified individuals serve as hosts to injured animals. The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 9365 U.S. 19 N, Suite B, Pinellas Park, needs volunteers for special events, clerical work and the Helpline. Training is provided. For information, call the chapter, 578-2558.
