Focus on volunteers

The St. Petersburg Free Clinic, 863 Third Ave. N, will hold a volunteer orientation from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Dec. 16. For information, call Dawna Sarmiento at 821-1200, ext. 118.
Family Friends, sponsored by the Gulf Coast Community Care of Pinellas County, is looking for adults to spend time with children in medical foster homes. The children, in need of companionship, are ill and confined indoors. For information, call Melonese Wilson at 538-7460, ext. 3020.
Pinellas Habitat for Humanity is in need of volunteers for its salvage team project. The project involves removing usable materials from private homes to be sold in the organization's thrift store. For information, call Cheryl Lewis at 894-1522.
