WHEN/WHERE: 7, Tallahassee-Leon County Civic Center.

TV/RADIO: Ch. 32. WQYK-AM 1010; WWBA-AM 1040; WZHR-AM 1400 (Zephyrhills); WAMR-AM 1320 (Bradenton).

RECORDS: Florida State 1-5. South Florida 2-3.

COACHES: Florida State -- Steve Robinson (44-53, fourth season; 90-71 overall). South Florida -- Seth Greenberg (58-63, fifth season; 163-133 overall).

KEY PLAYERS: Florida State -- Michael Joiner, F, 6-7 Fr. (11.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg); Nigel Dixon, C, 6-10 So. (11.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg); Delvon Arrington, PG, 5-11 Sr. (9.8 ppg, 5.2 apg). South Florida -- B.B. Waldon, F, 6-8 Jr. (17.8 ppg, 6.8 rpg); Reggie Kohn, PG, 6-1 So. (7.2 ppg, 3.4 apg); Cedric Smith, G, 6-6 Sr. (8.6 ppg, 2.8 apg).

NOTES: The Seminoles, who lost at home against Furman on Monday, are off to their worst starts since 0-6 in 1956-57. Said Robinson: "We're in a situation where it's testing us and will tell us a lot about our character." ... The Bulls, coming off an 81-72 loss at Fordham, won't have standout junior F Altron Jackson (22.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg) for the first half; Greenberg suspended him for "behavior detrimental to the team." Senior Sam Sanders (1.8 ppg, 0.6 rpg) likely will get his first start, as will redshirt freshman C Gerrick Morris (15 blocks, including a Conference USA record 11 against George Washington). ... FSU leads the series 19-9, but the Bulls won last year in Tampa, 66-55, outscoring the Seminoles 16-3 in the final five minutes. F Chonsey Asbury scored eight of his 12 during that decisive run. ... Greenberg isn't down on his squad. "It's a long season and I have a lot of confidence in our players. I think our guys will continue to improve and I think we're going to be fine," he said.
