Sign up now to play ballBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times, published December 7, 2001 New Tampa Little League, formerly Northeast Little League, continues registration for its spring season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the league fields on Kinnan Street, off Cross Creek Boulevard. Another sign-up will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 15. Children ages 5 to 16 as of July 31, 2002, are eligible to participate. The league provides competition in baseball, softball, T-ball, coach pitch, minors, majors, juniors and seniors play. Softball is fast-pitch for girls ages 7-15. Bring proof of residency, birth certificate, health insurance and physician information. Cost is $85 for T-ball, $105 for all other sports. The season runs from Feb. 16 to May 25, 2002.
