TODAY-DEC. 23: The New Millennia Studio Theatre will present A Celtic Christmas Carol on weekends. Tickets are available for performances at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is $12.50 and $15. The theater is at 316 Broad St., Brooksville. Box office is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and an hour before each show. TODAY: Television anchor John Wilson will narrate Gian-Carlo Menotti's Amahl and the Night Visitors, a short Christmas opera, at 7 p.m. at the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center, 324 Pine St. The play features Mary Anne Boone as the beggar boy Amahl and Mary K. Wilson as Amahl's mother. The Wilsons will present a program of holiday music following the opera. Admission is $10. Call (727) 942-5605.

TODAY: The Weeki Wachee River Boat Parade will set sail at 7 p.m. The route runs from Rogers Park to Bayport Pier and back. To be in the parade, bring a new, unwrapped toy to Weeki Wachee Marina (south of the bridge on Shoal Line Boulevard) today no later than 5:30 p.m. and sign up. For information, call (352) 596-2852.

TODAY: The Hernando Symphony Orchestra will perform its winter concert at 7:30 p.m. at Hernando High School Performing Arts Center, 700 Bell Ave., Brooksville. Tickets are $9 for adults, $5 for students. Call (352) 799-8507.

SUNDAY-MONDAY: The Nature Coast Festival Singers will give performances of the Christmas portion of Handel's Messiah at 4 p.m. Sunday at Christ Lutheran Church, 475 North Ave. W, Brooksville, and at 7 p.m. Monday at Fellowship Wesleyan Church, 11250 Spring Hill Drive, Spring Hill. There is no admission fee, but a voluntary donation will be accepted.

SUNDAY: The Hernando Jazz Society will present Sonny LaRosa with America's Youngest Jazz Band from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the SNPJ Hall, 13383 County Line Road, Spring Hill. Admission for jazz society members is $2; for non-members, $5. For information, call (352) 683-7254.
