By Times staff report Man charged with riding his bicycle while drunkHOLIDAY -- A 44-year-old man faces charges of driving under the influence after he was arrested at 11:40 p.m. Friday while riding a bicycle west on Darlington Road, Pasco sheriff's deputies said. Deputies said Rick Allan Olson of 3600 Seffner Drive was swerving from the shoulder onto the road and did not have a light on his bike. Breathalyzer tests showed his blood-alcohol level to be 0.210, deputies said. Florida law presumes impairment at 0.08. Olson posted $250 bail and was released Saturday morning from county jail in Land O'Lakes. Driver and passenger arrested after chaseZEPHYRHILLS -- A 43-year-old man whose license has been suspended 14 times and his passenger were arrested Thursday night after a 3-mile chase, deputies said. A deputy attempted to stop Mark Kevin Hormuth about 7 p.m. at Eiland Boulevard and Dean Dairy Road, according to sheriff's reports. Hormuth's car had an expired registration, the reports state. Hormuth sped up to 60 mph south on Dean Dairy Road, turned east on State Road 54, then north on Allen Road, and stopped at Walnut and Evans Street, according to reports. Hormuth of 5010 Ninth St. faces charges of fleeing to elude, driving on a suspended license, resisting arrest without violence and illegal tag attached to vehicle. His passenger, 39-year-old Laura Ann Stutzman of Zephyrhills, was arrested on warrants for burglary and charges of failure to appear, deputies said. She also faces a charge of obstruction by disguise, deputies said. Stutzman had begun serving time on her burglary sentence Saturday at county jail in Land O'Lakes. Hormuth was being held on $4,000 bail.
