Boat parades

Treasure Island: Treasure Island Tennis and Yacht Club Christmas Boat Parade, Monday. Celebration begins poolside at 4:30 p.m. The parade leaves the marina at 6:20 p.m., passes through the Treasure Island toll bridge at 7 p.m. and proceeds north to John's Pass. This is a judged event. For information, call Les Lathrop at 367-4511.

South Pasadena: South Pasadena Millennium Holiday Boat Parade, Tuesday. Begins at 6 p.m. at the end of Harbourside Yacht Club Marina at Harbourside Condominiums, 7911 Sailboat Key Blvd. The parade route includes Bay Islands, the southern portion of South Causeway Isles and Shore Isle. For information, call Frank Gerdnic at 367-7306.

Tierra Verde: Lighted Boat Parade, Thursday. Begins at sundown at Marker 10, Pass-a-Grille Harbor. Trophies will be awarded in power and sail categories. For information, call Bill Clark at 866-6937 or Billy Moore at 866-2115.

Indian Rocks Beach: 14th Annual City of Indian Rocks Beach Holiday Lighted Boat Parade, Friday. The parade begins at 6:45 p.m. approximately 200 yards south of the southern end of the Holiday Inn fuel dock. The procession will head north under the Indian Rocks Bridge and finish at the north end of the city limits off Harbor Drive S. This will be a judged event. For information, call Randy Schwab, city of Indian Rocks Beach, at 595-6889.

Madeira Beach: 2000 Holiday Illuminated Boat Parade, Dec. 16. Begins behind City Hall, 300 Municipal Drive. Heads south toward John's Pass, where the procession reverses and heads back to City Hall.

Redington Beaches: Redington Beaches and Indian Shores Christmas Boat Parade, Dec. 17. Begins at 5:45 p.m. behind the Pub, 20025 Gulf Blvd., Indian Shores. Call town of Redington Shores, 397-5538; town of Redington Beach, 391-3875; town of North Redington Beach, 391-4848; or town of Indian Shores, 595-4020.

St. Pete Beach: Holiday Lighted Boat Parade, Dec. 17. Begins at 6 p.m. at Merry Pier, Eighth Avenue and Pass-a-Grille Way. Travels north through Pass-a-Grille Channel and Boca Ciega Bay to St. Pete Beach Yacht and Tennis Club, 94th Avenue and Blind Pass Road. Prizes and plaques will be awarded.
