DavisBaldwin, an insurance and risk management company, has named Valerie Harwell its new chief operating officer in the Tampa office. In this position, she will oversee overall operations and management. Harwell has more than 20 years of insurance and risk management experience.
A.J. O'Neal & Associates Inc., a staffing firm, announces the promotion of Cindy Griffin to district manager. As the new district manager, Griffin will oversee production for the firm's Brandon and Carrollwood offices, ensuring that sales and profits objectives are met. She is also responsible for improving customer service, training, and supervising staff, accounts, and developing new business for the firm.
John Gatlin has joined the Tampa office of Southern Equipment Corp. as its project manager. He has more than 15 years of experience in project management of mechanical contracting projects. Southern Equipment is a mechanical contractor headquartered in Tampa since 1952.
Joseph P. Isabel has joined the law firm of Fowler, White, Gillen, Boggs, Villareal and Banker, P.A. as controller. Isabel, a certified public accountant, was previously controller for Hops Restaurants. He received his degrees from the University of Florida and the University of South Florida.
James E. Felman of Kynes, Markman & Felman, P.A. has been elected president of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Felman concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense in federal and state courts and criminal appeals.
