Man faces fraud, theft chargesBy Times staff writer© St. Petersburg Times, published December 13, 2001 TAMPA -- A 44-year-old Temple Terrace man was charged Wednesday with scheming to defraud and grand theft after police said he fraudulently billed the credit cards of auto repair customers 98 times between September 1999 and May 2001. Theodoros Kostas Kefalas of 6222 Soaring Ave. had several methods for making false credit card transactions, including double-swiping the cards, Tampa police said. Kefalas illegally billed $48,416 from his business, General Auto Repair, police said.
