By Times staff writer Magical showcase of the artsTreat your family to a special holiday performance during the "Magical Showcase of the Arts" at Alonso High School. This four-segment show, presented by the Looking Glass Theatre, consists of a one-act ballet, The Night of Magical Toys, an excerpt from Alice in Wonderland and a tribute to the golden age of movies with Movie Magic. This performance will bring back memories of great film performances from the '30s to the '50s. The final segment is a patriotic dance compilation, American Tribute. Performances are at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday at Alonso, 8302 Montague St. Tickets are $10 for general seating. The Looking Glass Theatre is a nonprofit theater company. For information, call 969-0240. Jimmy Jam 3This event is held in memory of Jimmy Michaelides, who entertained customers and friends as a bartender at Skipper's Smokehouse for more than 10 years. All bands and individuals are performing for a donation. Ronny Elliot and the Nationals play music focusing on Elvis, Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis. The Raiford Starke Band provides alternative country, combining blues, country, folk and rock 'n' roll. Also performing is Jim Beckwith and Groove Culture with jazz; Jim Page Blue Grass Experience; Johnny G. Lyon, playing rock n' roll; and Sarasota Slim with hot lyrics and cool blues. The show is at 4 p.m. Sunday at Skipper's Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road, near Nebraska Avenue.
