Do unto others, blah, blah, blah

NEW YORK -- Wednesday night in Montreal, it was an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth and a couple of elbows for a couple of heads.

In the first period, Canadiens forward Gino Odjick elbowed Calgary's Phil Housley in the head. Odjick was called for a major penalty in a game the Flames went on to win 3-1.

In the second period, Flames forward Bill Lindsay elbowed Eric Weinrich in the head. Lindsay was given a match penalty.

The NHL took its turn doling out pain Thursday. Odjick was suspended for one game and will forfeit $9,585 in pay. Lindsay, who is paid less but apparently throws a better elbow, was suspended for two games, costing him $7,553.
