SunTrust bank has announced that John Mayfield has been elected vice president and investment sales manager. He joins SunTrust with 18 years of experience in financial services.

Mayfield attended the University of Akron (Ohio), is a certified financial planner and an active member of the Financial Planning Association.

Laura Boothby Fergueson has been elected investment consultant/life insurance specialist.

Fergueson, who joined the Management Association Program in February, is a graduate of the New York Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and holds Series 7, 63, and life, health and variable annuity licenses.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central Florida will resume its regular meetings on the second Thursday of each month in the Cypress Room in the administration building of Citrus Memorial Hospital. The foundation grants wishes to children ages 21/2 to 18 who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. For information, call 621-5437.
