LARGO -- Authorities are searching for a man they say robbed a gas station early Monday morning. At about 3:25 a.m., the man entered the Amoco station at 751 Clearwater/Largo Road and told the clerk, "Give me the money or I'm going to shoot you, man," according to police. While holding up his shirt with his left hand, the man reached into his waistband with his right hand and grasped what the clerk said was a gun. The clerk opened the cash register and stepped away. The man grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and ran. He is described as a white man, about 5 feet 10 with a muscular build and a goatee. He was wearing a dark sweat shirt, dark pants and white gardening gloves. Anyone with information may contact the Largo Police Department at 587-6728.
