Holiday Decorating Contest winners announced INVERNESS -- The winners of the 13th annual Holiday Decorating Contest sponsored by the Citrus County Parks and Recreation department were announced recently. Awards for the east Citrus division were: First place: Orvile and Gale Hill, 2015 E Dearborn Drive, Hernando. Second place: Madeline De Fiore, 8807 E Ren Place, Inverness. Third place: Alia and Mary Anna Laport, 6416 E Mockingbird Lane, Inverness. Honorable mention went to Jerry and Fran Merriman, 50 N Robin Hood Road, Inverness. Awards for the west Citrus division were: First place: Christa Shaller 10292 N Allwood Ter., Citrus Springs. Second place: Lloyd and Jo An Debusk, 1150 S Stray Oak Ter., Crystal River. Third place: Richard Seman, 6335 Esmeralda Ter., Lecanto. Honorable mention went to John Coffey, 6651 Green Acres St., Hernando. Also, homes omitted from a story listing all the contestants are Ronda Henderson, 2 Oak Knoll St., Beverly Hills, and the residence at 26 New Florida Ave., Beverly Hills. Miniature trains on display in OcalaOCALA -- A "Trains for the Holidays" exhibit will be open until Jan. 7 at the Webber Exhibit and Conference Center at Central Florida Community College Ocala Campus, 3001 SW College Road (State Road 200).
