NFL hits three Bucs with fine

TAMPA -- Three Bucs were fined a total of $15,000 by the National Football League Thursday for doing the Bob 'N Weave, an end zone celebration made famous by the St. Louis Rams.

Receiver Keyshawn Johnson and tight ends Dave Moore and Patrick Hape received letters from the league informing them they had been fined $5,000 each for the celebratory dance after Johnson's 8-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter in Monday night's 38-35 win over St. Louis.

"They fined me five grand for doing the Bob and Weave and I wasn't doing nothing," Johnson said. "I'll appeal that one."

The NFL has been cracking down on choreographed celebrations. On Dec. 14, it fined several Rams a total of $90,000 for doing the Bob 'N Weave in their 40-29 win over Minnesota on Dec. 10.

Johnson said Thursday that he did nothing but rest his hands on his knees. "I was tired, man," he said.
