HOLLY HILL -- A 98-year-old woman says police did not take her seriously after she was choked and left for dead in her home.
Marga Miller called police after an intruder attacked her Nov. 28 in her apartment. Officers who responded concluded that Miller may have imagined the attack because she is elderly and had been watching television.
A doctor at Halifax Medical Center said the injuries to her throat, ribs and arm were consistent with her story.
Donald Shinnamon, director of the Holly Hill Emergency Service, said Thursday the city, near Daytona Beach, will investigate.
