A land use hearing officer was scheduled to hear the following petitions Friday: KEYSTONE: Carrollwood Day School wants to move its 17-year-old campus just 200 feet south of its current location on Michigan Avenue. The new school, planned for nearly 17 acres on Michigan, would include 24 classrooms, a media center, multipurpose room, cafeteria, gymnasium and physical education areas. (Petition 01-0703)

CARROLLWOOD: The Hindu Temple of Tampa on Lynn Road is seeking a variance that will allow an entrance tower that would exceed the county's height restrictions. The entrance tower, or Gopuram, would rise nearly 66 feet high, 16 feet higher than the county allows. It would be equipped with a lightning arrester and an aircraft warning light. (Petition 02-0086)

CARROLLWOOD: Gustine Properties wants to sell beer and wine at a proposed CVS pharmacy at the southwest corner of N Dale Mabry Highway and Hudson Lane. The special use permit would allow the 10,800-square-foot retail pharmacy to sell alcohol within 466 feet from the Montessori Early Learning Institute. County codes state there must be a 500-foot separation between wet-zoned areas and property zoned for community uses. (Petition 02-0098)

KEYSTONE: Alejo Holdings Inc. is requesting permission to develop an affordable housing subdivision without internal and external sidewalks. The 45-home development is planned for Boy Scout Road, west of Crawley Road. (Petition 02-0098)

NORTHDALE: North Dale Development needs a variance that will allow more sign square footage than the county allows for a shopping plaza on N Dale Mabry Highway, south of Hoedt Road. It wants to use two 100-square-foot ground signs and one 430-square-foot pole sign advertising tenants at the Dibbs Center. (Petition 02-0069)
