He vows to read the Turner Diaries "with an open mind." 4. Having won the right to adopt highways, the Ku Klux Klan maps out a plan to adopt black neighborhoods throughout the South. The group, whose members now wear mini-sheets and berets, has a special interest in adopting Miami's Liberty City and St. Petersburg's south side. 5. The Presidential Committee on Race Relations disbands and never meets again because members could not find a meeting site that had a "level playing field."
