1. The stalling of a long-running boom economy has produced a new, meaner breed of "angry white males" who are determined to send all blacks back to Africa or Haiti.

2. Florida's governor proposes legislation that will outlaw "white flight" in the Tampa Bay area.

3. After returning from a six-month pilgrimage to Mecca, an Al Sharpton-like black religious leader denounces the nation's civil rights organizations as incubators of divisiveness and racism. He vows to read the Turner Diaries "with an open mind."

4. Having won the right to adopt highways, the Ku Klux Klan maps out a plan to adopt black neighborhoods throughout the South. The group, whose members now wear mini-sheets and berets, has a special interest in adopting Miami's Liberty City and St. Petersburg's south side.

5. The Presidential Committee on Race Relations disbands and never meets again because members could not find a meeting site that had a "level playing field."
