    Homestead exemption renewals coming

If you're looking for your homestead exemption renewal notice, it didn't get lost in the mail. Pinellas County Property Appraiser Jim Smith decided to mail them out in late January instead of the beginning of this month. Too many notices get returned because people are away for the holidays, and too many properties change hands at the end of the year, Smith said. Renewals for the low-income senior citizen exemption in St. Petersburg, St. Pete Beach and Dunedin will be mailed at the same time to those who qualified last year.
