Jones -- Uncle Bends -- A Home-cooked Negro Narrative, a one-man show by Bob Devin Jones, is performed Jan. 13 at Eckerd College as part of WordBRIDGE. $15.

Peters -- Broadway star Bernadette Peters gives a concert Jan. 13 at Ruth Eckerd Hall. $45.50-$49.50.

Piano -- Orion Weiss, winner of the Gilmore Young Artist Award, gives a piano recital Jan. 14 at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. $18.

Violin -- Anne Akiko Meyers is the soloist in Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 5 with the Florida Orchestra Jan. 18-21. $20-$38.

Ellington -- Donald Byrd's dance company, the Group, performs In a Different Light, set to music of Duke Ellington, Jan. 20 at Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. $24.50-$34.50.

Byron -- Ian Frost's one-man show Byron, a Celebration: the Postscript is staged Jan. 21 at Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center. $9 and $11.
