Hernando crime briefsBy Times staff writer © St. Petersburg Times, published December 29, 2000 Man exposes himself at party, deputies sayBROOKSVILLE -- A man faces charges afterauthorities say he exposed himself to a sheriff's deputy at a holiday party. Michael Underhill, 31, of 18177 Celia Ave. was having a bonfire party at his house south of Brooksville on Wednesday, when officials received noise complaints, a Hernando County sheriff's report said. When officials were called to the property, Underhill began to shout profanities at a deputy and then pulled down his pants, the report said. The deputy ordered Underhill to put down his beer and cigarette and to walk toward him, but the man refused. So the deputy arrested him. He faces charges of exposure of sexual organs and resisting an officer without violence. Underhill was taken to the Hernando County Jail, where he remained in lieu of $1,500 bail Thursday. Man, 31, mugged near Oak Park ApartmentsBROOKSVILLE -- A man was mugged Wednesday while walking near Oak Park Apartments. James Kincade, 31, of S Broad Street in Brooksville, told police that he was walking by a garbage bin near the complex about 9 p.m. when two men jumped out, grabbed him by the neck, and took his wallet, which contained $42 in cash and a $42 paycheck, Brooksville police said. The attackers are still at large. A detailed description of the men was not available. Anyone with information is asked to call the Brooksville Police Department at 754-6800.
