The last roll of film

A roll of undeveloped film -- shot by Valessa and her friends and found in Vicki Robinson’s minivan in Texas -- provided an unusual scrapbook of photos when later processed.

photo HANGING OUT • Adam and Valessa at the Village Center shopping mall in Carrollwood, a favorite hangout of theirs.

A WALL OF EYES • Valessa in her bedroom, holding her ferret, Slick. On the wall were some of the pairs of eyes Valessa had cut out from magazines. According to Jon Whispel, Valessa had wanted to take Slick with them when they fled, but the boys said no.

photo A SURPRISED MOM • The most haunting image was one of Vicki Robinson in a nightgown, apparently surprised in her home one night. When was the photo taken? Police investigators say they are sure it was not taken the night she died.

A TATTOO FOR DAD • Adam mugs for the camera. On his left shoulder is the tattoo in memory of his father, who died in a motorcycle accident in 1994. Adam had the tattoo redone at an Ybor City parlor shortly before the teens left Tampa.
