For the third time in four years, the St. Petersburg maker of circuit board assemblies is the best-performing local, public company. Time Warner is the top employer with headquarters elsewhere.

From Echelon International Corp. to Kaydon Corp., from ABR Information Services Inc. to Medical Manager Corp., public companies based in the Tampa Bay area have moved away or been acquired in recent years.
