Design Data Systems of Clearwater has trimmed its work force from 74 to 64 as part of a series
of moves that include new products, new office space and an internal
reorganization. The company, which made a list of fastest-growing
technology companies last year, had an unexpected dip in sales
and less staff turnover than expected, which led to the job cutbacks
last month, according to Steve James, vice president of marketing.
James said sales projections are back on track and the company
is optimistic that its revenue growth will resume. The company
produces software applications for businesses.
