Cancellations

The following events have been canceled or postponed.

All Pinellas County schools scheduled as ACT testing sites have postponed the administration of the test. Boca Ciega, Dunedin, Largo, Northeast, Osceola and Tarpon Springs high schools have rescheduled for Oct. 3. Clearwater High School will not reschedule. Call 588-6273.

The 11th annual Autumn Gathering, a crafts sale at Harborview Center in Clearwater, will be Oct. 4. Call 787-6027.

A concert at Seminole City Park, featuring the 42nd Street Big Band, has been postponed until Oct. 2. Call 391-8345.

Dunedin Wines the Blues, a blues concert with wine and food vendors on Main Street in Dunedin, has been rescheduled for Oct. 3. Call 738-1855.

The '98 Pond Tour, a self-guided tour of 19 private aquatic gardens, has been canceled. Call 397-5532.

Seminole Porcelain Artists Guild will have its annual fall show and sale Oct. 2-4 at Seminole Mall. Call 392-6979.

This weekend's concerts for the Sunset Music Series at Pier 60 on Clearwater Beach have been canceled. Call 562-4800.

A folk concert by Rod MacDonald at the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center has been canceled. Call 942-5605.

Volunteer Action Center has canceled its Volunteer Festival at Countryside Mall. Call 893-1140.

Centre Stage's performances of Six Guns and Sasparilla have been rescheduled for next weekend at Seminole Recreation Center. Call 823-3387.

A doll and bear show and sale at Honeywell Minnreg Building in Largo has been rescheduled for Oct. 10. Call 585-8056.

A vintage baseball game at Otten Park sponsored by Dunedin Historical Museum has been canceled. Call 736-1176.

Status of services

Solid waste: The Pinellas County Solid Waste facility is expected to open for business Monday. For information, call 464-7565. Debris resulting from storm damage should be stockpiled until the county assesses how to dispose of it.

PSTA and DART buses: Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority will resume regular bus Service Sunday, however, service may not ve available in areas that are flooded. For information, call 530-9911. Demand Response (DART) service also will resume Sunday. Those passengers need to reach their carriers to verify the status of regularly scheduled trips. For information, call 531-0415.

School closings

St. Petersburg Junior College, all campuses, will be closed through Sunday.

Sheriff's officials ask residents looking for information about shelters or road closings to call 464-4333, a 24-hour information line. Residents should call 911 only to report emergencies.
