By TOM MANTER © St. Petersburg Times, published December 13, 1998 Senior Justin Chapman gave the Crusaders the early lead, drilling a 20-footer into the net after a crossing pass was bobbled by Baron goalkeeper Pablo Iglesias. Playing with a man advantage after a Keswick Christian red card, St. Petersburg Catholic evened the score at 1 with 11 minutes left. Brian Mullinix, the tournament Most Valuable Player, followed with the go-ahead goal. Anthony Villari raced down the left sideline and beat the Crusader defense for the final goal. "Ten minutes, three goals," St. Petersburg Catholic coach Brad Smith said. "Well, it took us a while to settle down. But I'm proud of the guys. Our seniors dominated the game and deserved the win." The Barons (5-1) outshot the Crusaders 26-8. Keswick Christian dropped to 1-6. Mullinix, who scored three goals in Friday's 4-1 semifinal win over Orlando First Academy, headed the all-tournament team. Others members of the all-tourney team were Kelley, Marco and Anthony Villari and Anthony Mittermeyer of St. Petersburg Catholic, and Phil Caldwell, Bobby Camposecco and Adam Thomas from Keswick Christian, which defeated Fort Myers Evangelical 3-2 on Friday to reach the final. First Academy defeated Fort Myers Evangelical 2-1 in the third-place match.
