| Nicole Badger, a junior at Hernando High School in Brooksville, spent 105 days raising her hog, Snow, before selling the animal for slaughter last February. The Times picture of their farewell embrace was picked up by newspapers across the country. In the next few days, about 100 people called the school asking for a reprieve for the pig. Too late: The 220-pound hog had already gone to slaughter. For her work in the school-sponsored agriculture program, Nicole received a blue ribbon and $1.05 a pound. She plans to raise another hog this year. Shell meet the animal at school Monday morning. #
