Last month: Henriott has been almost untouchable on the mound, allowing just 28 hits, striking out 206 batters and throwing six no-hitters. Her ridiculous numbers are a surprise considering most pitchers were supposed to struggle adapting to a pitching plate that is 43 feet from home, back from 40. Among the gems this season was an 11-strikeout and one-hit outing against Seminole, and a 13-strikeout perfect game against Tampa Catholic. She even stood out in one her losses, striking out 19 and allowing two hits in a 1-0 loss to Academy of the Holy Names. Future plans: Henriott will play travel ball this summer. She has not decided where she will attend college. Her own words: "I'm a little surprised about my start, especially with all the no-hitters. The goal for everyone here is to win the district title. If we can do that, then I'll really be happy." |
