Memorial Services
  • For John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife, Carolyn, a private Mass will be held Friday morning at the Church of St. Thomas More in New York City. President Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton plan to attend.
  • For Lauren Bessette, a private memorial service is planned for Saturday evening at Christ Church in Greenwich, Conn.

Sending Condolences

  • Condolences may be sent to Sen. Edward M. Kennedy's office, 315 Russell Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C. 20510.
  • Mourners may also sign condolence books at the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in Boston, and at the John. F. Kennedy National Historic Site in Brookline, Mass. These will be given to Caroline Kennedy to share with the family of the Bessette sisters, then returned to the library's archives, said Kennedy Library spokesman Tom McNaught.
  • In lieu of flowers, the family of Carolyn Bessette asks that contributions be sent to Kids in Crisis, 1 Salem St., Cos Cob, Conn. 06807.
  • For Lauren Bessette, donations may be sent to The Lauren G. Bessette Foundation, c/o Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Corporate Communications, 1221 Avenue of the Americas, 26th Floor, New York, N.Y. 10020.
