WHAT: Empires of Mystery: The Incas, the Andes and Lost Civilizations
WHEN: The exhibition is open daily, beginning today and running through spring 1999. Hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday through Friday, with the last tour beginning at 6 p.m. On Saturdays, hours will be 9 a.m to 10 p.m., with the last tour beginning at 8 p.m.
WHERE: Florida International Museum, 100 Second St. N, in downtown St. Petersburg
HOW MUCH: Tickets cost $13.95 for adults and $5.95 for students. Children younger than 6 will be admitted at no cost. The price includes an audio guide. For adults interested in buying season passes to the museum, the cost is $28.95. For students, it is $12.95. Season passes will not be accepted Dec. 24 through Jan. 2.
HOW TO BUY TICKETS: Orders may be placed by calling (800) 777-9882 or by visiting the museums website at www.floridamuseum.org. Tickets also may be purchased at the museum box office. To reserve a viewing time and day, and to avoid overcrowding, tickets should be bought in advance.
Notes: The museum is wheelchair-accessible and wheelchairs are available for temporary use. Mens and womens restrooms have changing stations. The movie shown at the start of the tour will be in closed captions for the hearing impaired. Printed copies of the tour script will be available in Spanish, French, German and Portuguese.
