Brooksville Fire Department Chief James Daugherty perches 60 feet above a burning house Wednesday afternoon during a training session. Daugherty's spray of water protects a neighboring house from the flames. The house has been vacant for several years because of termite damage and other problems. Firefighters entered it to put out several small fires before the house was destroyed.
