Deborah Muse of the Krewe of Venus throws a necklace of beads from the krewe's float Saturday as the Gasparilla parade winds toward downtown Tampa. The sunny, warm weather drew a large crowd to the first day of the annual festival. Several exclusively female crews parade for Gasparilla.
