| Terry Forehand of Panama City fishes for bass among the cypress stumps in the Dead Lakes section of the Chipola River near Wewahitchka. The dam at Dead Lakes was removed in 1987 after fish stocks dwindled and aquatic vegetation began choking life in the impounded waters.
