Bill Hogan of the Rough Riders honor guard stands at attention Wednesday during the Countdown to the Next Millennium Kick-Off, presented Wednesday by the Hillsborough 2000 Millennium Committee at the University of Tampa. The Berkeley Preparatory Pipe and Drum Corps performed, and poet laureate James Tokley read an original work. Three mayors-Dick Greco of Tampa, Fran Barford of Temple Terrace and Randy Larson of Plant City-spoke at the event.
