In Bosnia's Serb section, which did most of its trade with Yugoslavia until the NATO airstrikes began, unemployment is rampant. Drago Marinkovic, a former Serb soldier, passes the time with cigarettes and homemade pear brandy with friends in the village of Pale. The jobless rate also is high in the Muslim-Croat part, about 50 percent.
