A waterspout seen from Franklin Street in downtown Clearwater crosses Clearwater Harbor near the Memorial Causeway on Friday, stopping cars and pedestrians in their tracks. The waterspout, which formed about 12:55 p.m. and lasted about five minutes, never touched land or caused any damage. "This thing was enormous," said Will Davis, Pinellas County environmental management director. "It looked like it was going to eat downtown Clearwater."
